Although the hard of hearing do not view deafness as a disability, those who rely heavily on their sense of audition, might find it overwhelming to take on the same tasks without one of their senses. The hands, in their bright red hue, illustrate the confidence and power Sign Language brought to the deaf community where there used to be so much uncertainty.
